Did he make this film in order to offer a challenge to the broadcasting industry? This is the fi lm version of a popular program “Ikinari Keitai Relay” in a new type of TV variety show “Mutenka-desuyo!” produced by Jiro Nishida, a competent TV director. In this fi lm, a camera crew abruptly hands a cellular phone to passers-by and tell them to run to a specifi ed place. On their way to the place they meet several people, make emotional responses, and refresh their memories. Their “natural” reactions make the audience feel as if they were watching a human drama. This is a new type of TV variety show where the main characters are passers-by that experience a wonderful adventure.

Profile	Born in Osaka in 1965. Got employed by Yomiuri Television in 1989 and produced “11 PM” and “EX TV.” Directs and produces “Downtown Deluxe,” “Hamachan ga!,” at present. Writes a magazine serial and makes his name as a DJ of raji@, an Internet radio broadcasting station.
