Feature on Fujio Akatsuka
NOTES
Fujio Akatsuka was a genius, who made an impact on various genres as an unique “gag master”. He frequently said, “I am an unequaled movie fan and I wanted to be a Chaplin's pupil in my childhood”. There is a rumor that he owned thousands of movie videos, and took a 8mm video camera into his sickroom when he entered a hospital... His masterpiece from the enormous works that he left is to be screened in this festival. We will verify that a genre like slapstick comedy affected Fujio Akatsuka.
