The movie festival is more brilliant by the “Special Invitation”, lined up topical works and masterpieces before their release in Japan. These new works appear on screen and add much color to the already colorful Okinawa in early spring. The festival will be opened by two topical works. A period drama, "GOEMON(Opening work)" that Kazuaki Kiriya portrays with his unique visual sense. A fresh youth comedy with laughter and tears, "Oppai Volleyball(Opening comedy work)" starring Haruka Ayase."THE SUMMIT : A Chronicle of Stones(Closing work)" is the movie that Daisaku Kimura made based on Jiro Nitta's novel on a magnificent scale. "BURN AFTER READING(Closing comedy work)" is the movie in which staff and cast representing Hollywood gathered. The works in this section were selected beyond the comedy genre. As a result, varied, unique and entertaining works are lined up from a masterpiece in Hollywood to an excellent Asian works. Of course Japanese films appear on a screen. The one is the work in which the popular star who can't remove his eyes off, the other work is by a proficient director. Moreover, a lot of guests from the inside and outside Japan also will run to Okinawa, make the movie festival more wonderful.
